Under the direction of the Supervisor and Lead Technician, the Costume Developer develops and constructs new costume pieces, collaborates with other team members for completion of entire costume projects, and refurbishes costume pieces as needed. Pay for this position is $24/hour and commitment is part-time (~25 hrs/wk), though there is potential to move to full-time hours after a probationary period.

During the performance of his/her work duties, the incumbent will be required to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and will frequently lift up to 25 pounds such as moving costumes or their component materials.

The employee works in a production environment and is frequently exposed to contaminants such as dust and odors from the materials and processes required for costume production. The work environment also includes storage areas for both material components and costumes. Laundry facilities and processes occasionally create exposure to wet, humid conditions. The employee may occasionally execute production processes requiring personal protective equipment for use of chemical contaminants. The noise level in the work environment is loud as impacted by the tools and industrial equipment in use.
